Install it right. Keep it sharp for years.

Every decal ships ready to apply with premium transfer tape. Ten careful minutes now beats a redo later. Here's exactly how we'd do it.

Before you peel anything

  • Pick your day: 50–90°F, out of direct hot sun. Vinyl hates extremes while it's bonding.
  • Clean like you mean it: wash the spot, then wipe with rubbing alcohol on a lint-free cloth. Wax, dust, or detailing spray residue is the #1 reason decals lift.
  • Dry completely. Any moisture under the vinyl becomes a bubble.

The install, step by step

  1. Position it with the backing still on. Step back and eyeball it. Masking-tape the top edge as a hinge.
  2. Flip it up on the hinge and peel the paper backing away slowly. The decal stays on the clear transfer tape.
  3. Lower and squeegee from the center outward (a card wrapped in a cloth works). Firm, overlapping strokes: you're pushing air out, not scrubbing.
  4. Peel the transfer tape back on itself, slow and low (180°, not straight up). If a letter lifts, lay it back down and squeegee that spot again.
  5. Press every edge one more time with your thumb. Edges are where weather tries to get in.
Small bubble anyway? Prick it with a pin and press flat. It disappears. Never try to re-lift cut vinyl to "fix" placement; it stretches.

The first 48 hours

  • No washing, no rain if avoidable, no pressure washer. The adhesive is still curing.
  • Park out of harsh sun if you can: gentle heat helps curing, baking doesn't.

Living with it

  • Hand wash or touchless is kindest. If you pressure-wash, keep the wand a couple feet back and never blast an edge head-on.
  • Wax and sealant around it are fine. Avoid loading wax directly over the vinyl edges.
  • Our premium cast vinyl is built for daily driving (sun, rain, car washes) for years, not months. Chrome and specialty finishes appreciate a little extra shade when you've got the option.

Removing a decal (no damage, no drama)

  1. Warm it with a hair dryer (heat gun on low if you're careful) until it's soft to the touch.
  2. Lift a corner with a plastic edge (never a razor on paint) and peel back slow at a low angle, re-warming as you go.
  3. Any leftover adhesive comes off with a citrus adhesive remover or alcohol, then wash the spot.

Glass is even more forgiving than paint. Take your time and the surface comes out clean.
